The Collaborative Work Environment Announces Executive Appointment

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 – The Collaborative Work Environment today announces Heather Buttery has been named Vice President, effective August 6th, 2024.

Heather Buttery has joined Collaborative Work Environment (CWE) as Vice President, where she will lead the Technology Stack Partner Program. In her new role, Heather will oversee teams to ensure successful partner engagements and meet company expectations. Her responsibilities include managing Tech Stack Program revenues, nurturing partner relationships, supporting business development, and maintaining key information related to the Partner Program.

Heather Buttery is a technology executive with over 22 years of experience at MGM Resorts International. As the former Vice President of Program Management Office and Automation, she managed large-scale projects, optimized business processes, and led high-performing teams. Heather has a strong background in driving business impact through automation, product development, technology programs, hotel operations, and revenue management. She is skilled in building teams, leading change management, and driving continuous improvement. Her experience includes leading PMOs, developing strategic roadmaps, managing financial teams, and delivering cost-effective, innovative solutions.

At MGM Resorts International, she successfully managed a multi-million-dollar project portfolio, integrated, and implemented advanced project management tools, and directed strategic RFP programs resulting in significant cost savings. Heather also led the establishment of a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team, aligning automation strategies with organizational objectives to drive operational efficiency. Additionally, she participated in the MGM Resorts Accelerated Leadership Program, directly mentored by the CEO, Bill Hornbuckle.

Heather’s leadership extends to fiscal management, where she oversaw significant budgets and implemented financial controls. Her strategic planning and execution skills helped in establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) that streamlined project execution and encouraged cross-functional collaboration.
